Congratulations to Dr. Barbara C. Santos for receiving the Pat Anthony Disease-Related Malnutrition Research Grant
The title of the project is "Omics signatures of protein requirements throughout cancer trajectory".
This project will investigate how metabolomic profiles influence the amount of dietary protein needed and the preservation or loss of muscle mass in patients with cancer during and after treatment.
Awarded by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). Awards recognize members who have contributed to the field by showcasing exceptional expertise in clinical practice, education, and advocacy. The accomplishments of those selected for an award improved the quality and efficacy of the profession and their actions provide a positive example for healthcare professionals.
